French Cottage Nursery Mood Board

Dreamy white linens, aged brass accents and all the whimsical bunny characters. That's what I dream of for our little boys french cottage inspired nursery. I want the nursery to feel like a french cottage garden in the morning sunlight- calming, quiet and connected with nature. What I love about this dreamy inspiration is the gender neutral sway- whether boy or girl you can quickly pop accents in and out.

When designing our first nursery, I knew I wanted to keep everything pretty neutral. One for the creamy consistent hues that you see throughout our farmhouse but also to have a room that he can grow into with the ease of changing little details to make it feel mature as he grows.

The three core elements of this nursery are french blue, bunnies and creamy textures. Once we found the gender of our little man- I knew adding soft french blue touches would be the perfect final touch. For our love of bunnies and squirrels, I knew adding cuddly critters in the nursery was a must. Finding this Anthropology wallpaper with rabbits and squirrels was meant to be. Mix matching whites and creams is always a must for this momma so having multiple textures of fabrics (velvets, linen, fleece, etc.) was a must to make the room feel cozy. Adding brass tones are my go-to metal to make any room feel old and warm.

Creating a mood board can help you visualize elements together. For me- I love to see what's floating around in my head, on a digital board.
