Chandelier In The Nursery

This past weekend we were able to finally hang the nursery chandelier- yay! One step closer to a more complete nursery. When I had ordered this drum chandelier, I made a big boo-boo and didn't measure how long it was. When it arrived and we started to put the light together, I quickly realized that the light was going to hang too low for our 9' ceilings.

I fell in love with the look of this light for its gold floral embellishments and linen-like shade. In order for this light to work, we had to unthread the main post and we swapped it out for a shorter post that came off our master bedroom chandelier. This shortened the overall light and made it just high enough for clearance without "eating" the ceiling.

To add some French-flair to the nursery, we hung this gorgeous ceiling medallion. I love the extra detailing it adds to the chandelier and it feels super luxurious!

Along with hanging the chandelier this weekend, I hung some pretties on the walls, too! My sister and brother-in-law gifted us these gorgeous art slabs from Lily Morgan Art a year ago. These are a set of 4 wood pieces with our pet babies  drawn in the prettiest patina-paint-medium. I love the subtle and neutral colors Lily used.

On the opposite side of the window, I hung two antique gold frames. We still have a lot to do in the nursery- like adding the armoire, a rug, a nursery chair, etc. but I'm loving the direction already!

I also found these gorgeous (and affordable) linen-like curtains that look very high-end (I ordered the "Creamy White"). I still am awaiting another set I ordered (leaving me with 4 panels total) but they hang beautifully with these gold curtain rings I found on Amazon. Both are linked below, too!

Thanks for popping by! We're 31 weeks today and time sure seems to be flying by! Pretty soon we will have a baby boy in our hands!
Hugs, Alyssa
